While there are as many different ways to accomplishing a vintage look using Photoshop, I like this method due to being able to control the look fully, by using layers and the brush tool. This is an incredibly quick and easy tutorial, it uses a few things that have been talked about here as well (linked for ease).

After the jump is an guide on how to make your own brushes in Photoshop (shown in Elements, but it’s the same with the full Photoshop). While the process is basically the same exact way as making a pattern, for the sake of ease I decided to make a separate tutorial.

Pop Art Airplane Postcard
I got myself a bit sidetracked while I was writing an article. While the image above is from last year, I couldn’t stop myself from creating the Pop- Art/ WWII (esque?) design you see above. It seriously reminds me of one of those propaganda posters, with a touch of Warhol.
The combination alone makes me happy, admittedly it’s an odd coupling. It’s also has absolutely nothing to do with said article. Go figure.
