Make Vintage Looking Photos With Photoshop

02.20.2010 · Posted in Art, Tutorial

While there are as many different ways to accomplishing a vintage look using Photoshop, I like this method due to being able to control the look fully, by using layers and the brush tool.  This is an incredibly quick and easy tutorial, it uses a few things that have been talked about here as well (linked for ease). Image:  Nick Veasey / Artist’s Website   Radiography is a medical procedure, that lets doctors look inside the human body.  Although– some rather creative thinking artists (two of which are featured below) use the process to create some incredible images. Artists Nick Veasey and Leslie Wright both use radiography to create their work.  They also have two very different subject, and honestly– both are amazing. ...

I adore odd images of everyday items, just the way many can take something so ‘pedestrian’ and turn it into something scary, surreal, or even beautiful is awe inspiring to me.  While I’m not much of a photographer, I do enjoy the art and even taking images and editing them to the point where they take on a who other form. The images in this process were taken by me today.  They are all from ...

Pop-Art Propaganda

Pop Art Airplane Postcard   I got myself a bit sidetracked while I was writing an article.  While the image above is from last year, I couldn’t stop myself from creating the Pop– Art/ WWII (esque?) design you see above.  It seriously reminds me of one of those propaganda posters, with a touch of Warhol. The combination alone makes me happy, admittedly it’s an odd coupling.  It’s also has ...

Sometimes we could all use a little zen, lately I am more than included in that.  It’s also the reason behind the first featured artist:Wildflowers and Zen.  The artist has such an eye for detail, and it’s incredibly hard to not fall completely in love with these items and designs.   If you love simplicity and minimalism, you must check out this shop.  Tweet This Post ...
