Crop Circle Formations: Art or Visitors?

19 October 2009 155 views View Comments

If you think they’re aliens or kids with too much time on their hands, Crop Circles are rather intricate pieces of art. They aren’t like much else out there, but they are beautiful and an art in their own right.

The Giant Jellyfish

This is one of my favorites already, and one of the coolest I’ve seen. This big jellyfish just recently appeared in a field in Kingstone Coombes, Oxfordshire. England, being the main place for the designs is no stranger to these cool appearances.

Read more about the giant jellyfish at the Telegraph.

Flock of Birds

Now this is a simple design, and I have no information on it but it is just one of those images I can’t help but smile looking at it.  It looks like a flock of birds flying in their famous V formation doesn’t it?

The only reference I’ve found (granted while doing a 20 second Google Search) was that this is from Wiltshire UK, at least according to UFO Reports.
Swirly Star

This is one of the more famous crop circles. I can’t even begin to imagine what it would take to make a design this intricate. It’s absolutely stunning isn’t it? Found through Heidi Lore’s Musings (there’s also a few more cool pictures there).

So, what do you think?  Bored teens in the UK, or alien visitors?
